Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
Studio Joy (Nadia Elaine Banna) takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how it is handled by the services we use, and what rights you have under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Controller
The controller responsible for processing your data is Nadia Elaine Banna, Uetlibergstrasse 111A, 8045 Zürich, Switzerland. Email: nadia@nadiabanna.com.
What data we collect
We collect personal data in two ways:
- Data you give us directly: when you use the contact form we receive your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Data collected automatically: when you visit the site our hosting provider records technical access data in server logs, such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the pages requested, and your browser and operating system.
Why we process your data
We use your data to respond to your enquiries and arrange piano lessons (to take steps at your request and to perform our agreement with you), to operate, secure and improve the website, and to comply with our legal obligations. Where we rely on a legitimate interest (for example, to keep the website safe and available), we weigh that interest against your rights and freedoms.
Hosting (GitHub Pages)
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. (88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). To deliver the pages and keep the service secure, GitHub automatically processes technical connection data, including your IP address, in server logs. We have no access to these raw logs. GitHub's handling of this data is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Contact form (Formspree)
Our contact form is handled by Formspree, Inc. (2810 N Church St PMB 74746, Wilmington, DE 19802, USA), acting as our processor. When you submit the form, the details you enter (your name, email address and message) are transmitted to and stored by Formspree so that your message can be forwarded to us by email. Please submit only the information needed for your enquiry. Formspree's handling of this data is described in the Formspree Privacy Policy.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking. Fonts and other assets are served from the site's own domain rather than from third-party content networks. During normal use the only request sent to an external service is the submission of the contact form to Formspree, as described above.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell your personal data. It is shared only with the service providers that operate this website on our behalf (GitHub for hosting and Formspree for the contact form) and with authorities where the law requires it. As GitHub and Formspree are based in the United States, your data may be processed there; both providers offer contractual safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
Retention
We keep contact enquiries only as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, or as required by law, after which they are deleted. Server logs created by our hosting provider are retained and deleted according to that provider's own schedule.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, ask us to restrict or object to certain processing, and request a copy of the data you provided in a portable format. To exercise your rights, contact us at nadia@nadiabanna.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, with your local supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The version published on this page is the one that applies; the date above shows when it was last revised.
